TxDOT to break ground on I-35 at US 79 project

The Texas Department of Transportation will host a groundbreaking ceremony for the I-35 at US 79 (southbound) project at 10:30 a.m. on March 9.

The project will construct an extended entrance and exit lane to eliminate merging conflicts between the US 79 entrance ramp and the SH 45 North exit (#250). The project will also shift the median barrier and install high-mast lighting throughout the corridor. This $8.4 million Texas clear lanes project is funded by TxDOT.

The project is anticipated to be completed in early 2023.
