Family-friendly Halloween events in Round Rock

Looking for Halloween fun for the whole family? City of Round Rock has you covered this year with these ghoulish good times:

Play for Fall

Friday, Oct. 28
Session 1: 6:30-8 p.m. (SOLD OUT)
Session 2: 8:30-10 p.m.
Play for All Park, 151 North A.W. Grimes Blvd.

The Play for All Park will be decked out with surprise attractions at every turn! From Trick or Treating to games and spooks, this is an event for all ages that will go down in the Halloween books! Tickets are available for $10 at roundrocktexas.gov/playforfall — children age 2 and under are free with a paid adult/guardian. Proceeds will benefit the Play for All Foundation.

Hometown Halloween

Friday, Oct. 28
3-7 p.m.
East Main Street in Downtown Round Rock

Join us at Hometown Halloween for trick-or-treating on picturesque Main Street in Downtown Round Rock, a photo booth, Halloween art activities, live music, balloon artists, face painters and more! This event is free and family-friendly!

Fall Fun Fest – Monster Mash Bash

Monday, Oct. 31
9 to 11:30 a.m.

If you have a toddler or preschooler, you can start your Halloween Day early at Round Rock Parks and Recreation Department’s Fall Fun Fest. Bring your little ghouls and goblins for carnival games, hayrides, snacks, prizes, and fun entertainment for the whole family!

Don’t forget to come in costume and bring a canned food item to donate to the Round Rock Serving Center.

Public Safety Trunk or Treat

Saturday, Oct. 22
4-8 p.m.
Public Safety Training Center, 2801 North Mays St.

Drive on over to Trunk or Treat to receive candy from the comfort of your car while enjoying creatively decorated trunks (including some public safety vehicles!). Toy and monetary donations welcome for Round Rock Operation Blue Santa.

Adaptive and Inclusive Trunk or Treat

Saturday, Oct. 22
4-6 p.m.
Ascension Seton Williamson, 201 Seton Parkway

Halloween for everyone! This is a family-centered event focusing on active participation for children with various disabilities or limitations. Siblings are welcome to participate. Come in costume and bring a trick-or-treating bag!

Book Character Pumpkin Contest

Oct. 26-Oct. 30
Round Rock Public Library, 216 E. Main St.

Decorate a pumpkin (or gourd) as a book character or with a literary theme and drop it off at the Round Rock Public Library children’s desk for display from Oct. 24 – Oct. 31. Winners will be announced on Monday, Nov. 7, and will receive a Barnes and Noble gift card! Learn more
