Don’t miss these holiday events in Round Rock

Twinkling lights, velvet-smooth hot cocoa, frosted cookies and merry melodies. Round Rock is the perfect place to experience the warmth and nostalgia that the holiday season brings.

Hometown Holidays

Dec. 1-31
Beginning at dusk every evening
Downtown Round Rock

Downtown Round Rock is drenched with decor for the holiday season and is transformed into a wonderland. Every crevice is covered with garland and lights and our city beams brightly! Our decoration captivates visitors with brilliant holiday lights, oversized ornaments, a Texas-sized tree, and twinkling archways. There will also be a festive music lineup every Wednesday until December 21st.

Light Up the Lake

Friday, Dec. 2 and Saturday, Dec. 3
6-9:30 p.m.
Old Settlers Park, 3300 E. Palm Valley Blvd.

The illuminated display at Light Up the Lake will dazzle the whole family this year! Get ready to “ooh” and “ahh” as you stroll through the glistening grounds at Old Settlers Park. You will see inflatables, a light show, and photo-worthy displays. They also have live music, treats, and kid-friendly activities.

Holiday Model Train Exhibit

Nov. 25-Dec. 31
Kalahari Resorts and Conventions, 3001 Kalahari Blvd.

See model trains weave through exquisite displays at the free Tinplate Trackers Model Train Show. This is a treasured Round Rock holiday tradition, and it’s happening this year at the Kalahari Resorts and Conventions at the Tom Foolery Event Center (behind the roller coaster). The intricate installations are a delight for guests of all ages! See the enchanting sight from Nov. 25 through Dec. 31.

A Christmas Carol Classic Radiocast

Dec. 8-17
Old Settlers Association of Williamson County, 3300 E. Palm Valley Blvd.

Enjoy this cherished masterpiece brought to life with live foley sound effects and an all-woman company of actors voicing Ebenezer Scrooge, Bob Cratchit, the Spirits and dozens of others. Together, they will tell the stirring story of an ice-hearted miser who is given a last shot at redemption one miraculous night! Buy tickets

Downtowner Holiday mART

The City of Round Rock’s art gallery is turning into a winter wonderland of gift shopping! Shop from local/area artists to find home decor, art to wear and even art for your kitchen! Plus, come marvel at the second annual Holiday Sugar Spectacular with Capitol Confectioners. Not only can you selfie with the sugar art, but you can also buy sweets to take home too! 

Adaptive and Inclusive Winter Wonderland

Friday, Dec. 9
6-8 p.m.
Rabb House, 151 N. A.W. Grimes Blvd.

Join Round Rock Parks and Recreation for a fun, themed dance for individuals with disabilities ages 15 and up. Come dance the night away with dress up contests, dance contests, socialize with friends, enjoy snacks, and make fun memories! Check out the event page for more information.
