The Texas Fallen Project, Inc. to Set Up 9/11 Memorial at Yonders Point Flag Plaza

The Texas Fallen Project, Inc. and the City of Round Rock invites the entire community to honor and remember those who lost their lives at a 9/11 Memorial taking place at Yonders Point Flag Plaza.

On September 8th, the Friday before 9/11, The Texas Fallen Project, Inc. will begin placing 4,000 12”x18” American Flags out at Flag Plaza at Yonders Point in Old Settlers Park (3103 Aten Loop) to honor those who have gone before us. Of those 4,000 flags, 2,977 will represent each of the American lives that were lost on 9/11. The remaining 1,023 flags will represent Texans we have lost since 9/11.

Starting the evening of September 8th through the week of 9/11, the entire community is invited to visit the memorial and reflect on all the lives this country has given in the name of freedom. Residents are welcome to come out, take pictures and educate children on the cost of our freedoms.

On Monday, September 11th, The Texas Fallen Project, Inc. will serve hotdogs and water to visitors of the memorial, while supplies last. The memorial will be in place the evening of September 8th through September 14th.

More About The Texas Fallen Project, Inc.
The Texas Fallen Project, Inc. began seven years ago under another nonprofit. A memorial wall that measured 200 linear feet in length, made its journey to over 80 locations across Texas in five, short years. The wall was welcomed across the great State of Texas and was proudly displayed in Texas towns such as Perrytown, Mission, Pecos, and Wolfe City. The photographic memorial wall honored over 600 Texans who have fallen in combat since September 11th, 2001, a date that will live in infamy in Americans hearts forever.

The Texas Fallen Project, Inc. will continue to “Honor and Remember” the Fallen, along with those who continue to serve and sacrifice. With the help of kind and generous friends, donors, supporters and companies, we will continue to make this dream live on, to share this Journey to Remember. Through this commitment, it is our hope that Gold Star families will find comfort and healing.

Let us, together, raise our voices to let their families know we are grateful for the hero they raised, and that they will not be forgotten!
