The Leander Parks and Recreation Advisory Board toured the future site of the city’s Lakewood Park June 13. The undeveloped land for the park borders the Hazelwood, Cold Springs and Crystal Springs residential neighborhoods. The park currently has approximately 70 acres of dedicated property, plus approximately 36 acres of lake, said Mark Tummons, Leander Parks and Recreation Department director. Crystal Springs developers are working with the Leander City Council to provide an additional 45 acres for the park, he said.
