Round Rock ISD issues statement regarding failed bond package

Round Rock ISD’s reaction to the failed bond propositions of Saturday’s election was posted to www.roundrockisd.org. “We are fortunate to have the best teachers and educators in the state of Texas and in the nation at Round Rock ISD,” Superintendent Steve Flores said in the statement. “We will continue to serve kids and provide a world class service for our families.” The unofficial election results included voter turnout equaling 10.5 percent. Opponents of the bond measure declared victory and said the bonds “failed because they deserved to fail.”
