New Hutto ISD elementary school to accommodate growth, honor veteran

Hutto ISD held an open house and dedication ceremony for the new Howard Norman Elementary School  on Aug. 9, in which parents got a preview of the new school’s features, staff and classrooms. The school is located in the Riverwalk neighborhood south of Hwy. 79 and east of FM 685. The school is surrounded by dozens of homes under construction, which will house future students in the growing district. “Parents are very excited about having this school in their community,” Principal Greg Nestle said.
