Hutto receives grant for Limmer Loop sidewalk

The City of Hutto received a CAMPO grant to help fund a sidewalk along Limmer Loop from FM 1660 North to Cottonwood Creek Elementary School, the city announced this month. The nearly $983,000 project will add approximately 2,200 feet of 10-foot-wide sidewalks to the street and will connect to the hike and bike trail planned for FM 1660 North, according to a city statement. There are currently no sidewalks or bike lanes on Limmer Loop, according to the city. Hutto residents helped secure the grant by voting for the project this fall through a TxDOT survey, according to a city of Hutto statement.
