Halloween fun at the Library for kids and families

Outdoor Halloween Storytime for Toddlers and Preschoolers

October 27 @ 10:30 am – 11:00 am

Hop into your costumes and join us in Centennial Plaza for a special Halloween storytime. Join the storytime librarians for reading, singing, and creative movement in this socially distanced Halloween event.

Family Book Character Pumpkin Contest

October 25 – October 29

Pumpkinize your favorite story or character with the Book Character Pumpkin Decorating Contest. Families are invited to decorate a pumpkin (or gourd) as a book character or with a literary theme and drop it off at the Round Rock Public Library children’s desk from October 25 – October 29.

Winners will be announced on Friday, November 5, 2021, and will receive a Barnes and Noble gift card!

Great Halloween reads for kids

Visit the Libary and find great Halloween reads for kids ages 2-8. Discover Halloween books on the blue shelves near the Children’s Reference Desk on the first floor.

Looking for Haloween-friendly books that aren’t officially about Halloween, but just right for the season. Browse our “Halloween-friendly” list for books that feature monsters, ghosts, witches, vampires, bats, spiders, and similar characters or gentle scares.
