FIRST LOOK: Austin set to open Hurricane Harvey ‘mega shelter’ Friday

Austin will open the doors Friday of a new, 160,000-square-foot shelter for displaced Hurricane Harvey evacuees. The shelter, located at 7000 Metropolis Drive in southeast Austin, is scheduled to welcome roughly 400 people on Friday, according to city spokesperson David Green.
