District building project timeline in question after permit delay

District officials received a site permit weeks after their anticipated date for doing so for the new Timmerman Elementary School and District Stadium, throwing their projected timeline into question, according to district documents. According to a boardbook from the Jan. 21 board of trustees meeting, the district received the site development permit Jan. 8. The boardbook states officials anticipated receiving the permit Dec. 4. “The new Timmerman [facility] was anticipated to be opened in January 2017, but [the] time frame is extremely questionable,” the document states.
