Big changes ahead for eAudiobook users

Digital books (eAudiobooks) previously available through the RBdigital app will be moved to the library’s OverDrive service and available through Libby on Wednesday, August 19. OverDrive, the leading digital reading platform for libraries and schools worldwide and creator of the Libby app, recently acquired RBdigital. 

What does this mean for you?

• Current checkouts will be available through the remainder of their lending period in the RBdigital app.
• During the transfer on August 19, customers will not be able to access titles through RBdigital. The transfer will take approximately 4 hours, but it could take up to 24 hours for titles to appear in OverDrive/Libby.
• HOLD lists in RBdigital will not automatically transfer to OverDrive/Libby. Users can export their Transaction History from the RBdigital websites by accessing My Account > Profiles. Users can place holds on those titles again in Libby. 
• Wish lists created in RBdigital will not be moved to OverDrive. Users can export their Transaction History from the RBdigital websites by accessing My Account > Profiles.
