Williamson County postpones burn ban decision
Discussion to enact a burn ban for Williamson County was put on hold during the Jan. 10 commissioners court meeting. At the first meeting of 2017, commissioners decided to postpone further discussion on a countywide burn until next week to see if weather conditions improve. Jarred Thomas, the emergency management coordinator for Williamson County, said although the ground is wet, taller grass is extremely dry and combustible.
