Williamson County Commissioners Court adjusts election precinct boundary lines at Tuesday’s meeting

Published on April 25, 2017 under CommunityImpact

Several election precinct boundary lines in Williamson County were adjusted at Tuesday morning’s Williamson Commissioners Court meeting. Texas counties are divided into individual precincts and it is the responsibility of both the democratic and republican precinct chair to contact, guide and organize voters in their respective precinct. Chris Davis, the election administrator for the county said the state election code requires voting precincts to stay below 5,000 registered voters and that several precincts within the county were getting close to the maximum.
