Utility rate increases go into effect with January billing
To help offset the rising costs of providing and treating water as well as collection, transmission and treatment of wastewater, a planned rate increase will go into effect with the January 2016 billing.
Overall, residential customers on average will see about a 3 percent increase in their utility bill.
For most residential customers, the water volume charge will increase to $2.49 per 1,000 gallons and the minimum monthly service charge will increase to $14.69. The sewer volume charge will increase to $3.39 per 1,000 gallons and the minimum monthly service charge will increase to $13.27.
Larger meter sizes will see a comparable increase.
If we may assist you with questions or billing discrepancies, please call the Utility Billing office between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. Monday through Friday at 512-218-5460.
