TxDOT installs signs along I-35 to show travel times
The Texas Department of Transportation has installed three travel-time signs along the I-35 corridor—southbound signs in Georgetown and Round Rock and a northbound sign in Buda. The new signs, which will be active Oct. 27, will provide comparison travel times for I-35 and SH 130. “Drivers now have the ability to make a route decision based on real-time travel data,” Austin District Engineer Greg Malatek said in a statement. “With I-35 in Central Texas being one of the most congested highways in Texas, we have to keep looking for ways to manage traffic throughout this corridor.
