Travis County looks to mitigate lost funds after governor pulls back $1.5M in state grants
Following Gov. Greg Abbott’s decision last week to withhold state grant monies from Travis County in retribution for its sheriff’s immigration policies, the county is beginning a “rebudgeting” process to address the $1.5 million shortfall.
