Traffic delays expected for Officer Whites’ funeral procession

Processions are expected to take place between Beck Funeral Home on RR 620 and Shoreline Church in North Austin Wednesday morning for fallen Round Rock Officer Charles Whites’ funeral.

The first procession will take place starting at 8 a.m. from Beck Funeral Home (15709 Ranch Road 620) to Shoreline Church (15201 Burnet Road) for Officer Whites’ funeral at 10 a.m. After the service, a larger procession will take place from the church back to Beck Funeral Home. The procession is expected to start between 11:30 a.m. and noon and last approximately one hour. 

Round Rock Transit will suspend Routes 50 and 51, including paratransit services, from noon to 3 p.m. in anticipation of the afternoon delays in traffic.

  • East on 620 from Beck Funeral Home
  • South on O’Connor Drive
  • East on TX-45 East
  • South on County Road 172
  • South on FM1325
  • East on Shoreline Drive to Shoreline Church

Post-funeral procession route [map]:

  • West on Shoreline Blvd. from Shoreline Church
  • North on FM 1325 to Louis Henna Blvd.
  • East on Louis Henna Blvd. to Northbound IH-35 Frontage Road
  • North on IH-35 Frontage Road to Hester’s Crossing
  • East on Hester’s Crossing to South Mays
  • North on South Mays to HWY 79 (Palm Valley Blvd.)
  • West on HWY 79 to Chisholm Trail Road
  • South on Chisholm Trail Road to RM 620
  • West on RM 620 to Beck Funeral Home

The Round Rock Police Department lobby and administrative offices will be closed Wednesday, May 2. Williamson County Sheriff’s Office and DPS will assist with calls for service and collisions to allow RRPD personnel to attend the service.
