Some Zagat love for Downtown restaurants

Dining guide Zagat just released a list of the Top 10 Reasons You Should Drive to Round Rock.

“With the number of incredible restaurants within Austin city limits, traveling outside of town for dinner might not top your list — but it should,” the article begins. “Not quite 30 minutes from Downtown Austin, Round Rock chefs are stirring up food that’s worth the risk of getting caught in IH-35 traffic.”

Two of the 10 are ones we know and love right here in Downtown: Scarlet Rabbit (which has made these kinds of lists since it opened) and newcomer Mambo House, which features Cuban cuisine.
