Round Rock preps for first fixed-route bus service starting Aug. 21
In the next six weeks, Round Rock will begin installing roughly 75 bus stops throughout the city for the beginning of a fixed-bus route system, which will start operations Aug. 21. Service for the bus route will be provided by Capital Metro with funding from Federal Transit Administration grants and the city of Round Rock. The stops will be for Route 50, which will travel north to the Round Rock Premium Outlets and south to Capital Metro’s Howard Lane Park & Ride station in Austin.
