The Round Rock ISD board of trustees tackled the empty seat on its dais on Monday night by reviewing the vacancy appointment policy. Just two weeks ago, newly appointed trustee Stuart Selvaggi stepped down from his position after details about his financial and criminal history came to light. The board in turn started exploring how to include background checks as part of the application process for vacant trustee seats.
