Rising costs could impact Cedar Park and Leander’s housing market

According to data from the Austin Board of Realtors, 84 percent of homes sold in Cedar Park and Leander were priced under $400,000 throughout portions of March, April, May and June. Shanan Shepherd, a Leander City Council member and a co-owner and Realtor with Shepherd Nelson Realty in Leander, said she expects new construction to influence the market. She said there is a growing amount of higher-end construction in Leander, so homes priced over $400,000 are on the market longer.
