Police identify victim from fatality rollover crash on IH-35

The victim who was involved in the crash on Friday, October 21, 2016, has been identified as 26-year-old Colin Quinn Butler of Lubbock.

Round Rock police and fire personnel responded to a rollover crash at 4933 N. IH-35 at 1:45 p.m. A preliminary investigation reveals Butler the driver of a box truck, was traveling southbound on IH-35 when he lost control of the truck while attempting to enter the FM 1431 exit ramp. The driver collided with the guardrail and the exit sign. The driver was deceased on scene. The cause of death is unknown at this time.

The Round Rock Police Department Traffic Unit continues to investigate this incident and the circumstances surrounding it. Surveillance video from a nearby business shows no other vehicles were involved.
