PfISD trustees name 2 new Pflugerville schools after local community members

The Pflugerville ISD board of trustees selected names for what were formerly known as High School No. 4 and Elementary No. 21 at their regular meeting Thursday night. The decision came after calling on the public in September to submit names for consideration and hearing from citizens at the board’s October meeting. Three names were considered for the high school: Weiss High School, Vernagene Mott High School and Veterans Memorial High School. The board ultimately selected Weiss High School as the name for the former High School No. 4, a name deeply rooted in the history of Pflugerville.
