Petsmart grants Williamson County Regional Animal Shelter more than $7,000
Updated April 25 at 1:55 p.m. A more than $7,500 master support agreement between Petsmart Charities and the Williamson County Regional Animal Shelter was approved at Tuesday’s Williamson County Commissioners Court meeting. The approved funds are to be used to reimburse shelter supplies and medical treatments necessary after the animal cruelty seizure that resulted in 90 animals being brought to the shelter. Shelter officials said at least half of the animals were sick putting a strain on shelter resources. The grant from Petsmart will help to offset the expense to treat and make the animals ready for adoption.
