Monta Jane Akin Elementary town hall planned for Thursday

Parents and students are invited to a town hall meeting Thursday for updates on Leander ISD’s newest elementary school, Monta Jane Akin Elementary, which will open to students in the fall. The town hall will start at 6 p.m. Participants will hear updates from Principal Beckie Webster, as well as a discussion on the campus vision and mission, construction updates and transportation news, according to LISD. Elections for the school’s Parent Teachers Association executive board also will be held, followed by planning for the board.
