Hutto ISD Police Chief retires effective June 30

Hutto ISD Police Chief Rick stone will retire at the end of his contract effective June 30. Stone came out of retirement to establish the police department, according to a district statement. He hired the district’s initial staff consisting of a sergeant and three officers, according to the statement. The department was established in early May, according to the statement, and the officers spent the last month of school building relationships in the district. Officials hope to have a replacement hired by the end of July, according to the statement.
