Hutto and Pflugerville school districts receive first A-F ratings

The Texas Education Agency released the first statewide district and school ratings using an A-F rating system outlined in House Bill 2084 passed by Texas lawmakers in 2015. Although the system will not officially go into effect until August 2018, the TEA is taking it for a test run with today’s ratings, which are based on 2016 STAAR test scores. Each district and school will be rated on in five areas or domains: D1-Student Achievement; D2-Student Progress; D3-Closing Performance Gaps; D4-Postsecondary Readiness; and D5-Community and Student Engagement.
