End the Streak campaign aims to reduce highway fatalities

It has been 16 years since Texas had a death-free day on its highways. Beginning Monday, Nov. 15, the Texas Department of Transportation brings awareness to this statistic with its “End The Streak” campaign. More than 55,000 motor vehicle fatalities have occurred on Texas roads since November 2000, with at least one person dying each day.
