December sales tax revenue rises 17 percent in Hutto

Hutto collected about 17 percent more sales tax this December than in December 2014, and the city’s total collected sales tax in 2015 rose 16 percent from last year, according to the Texas Comptroller of Public Accounts office. The 2014-15 sales tax collections in Hutto were 22 percent above estimates which can be partly attributed to the growing number of Hutto residents and businesses, according to a city of Hutto statement.
