Concealed carry now lawful at Pflugerville City Council meetings
An amendment to a Pflugerville ordinance allows visitors to carry concealed weapons into the city of Pflugerville Training and Community Center, 100 E. Main St., Ste. 500, which is where City Council meetings take place. In January 2016, City Council prohibited open and concealed carry in government meetings spaces subject to the Open Meetings Act. That measure followed new Texas open carry gun laws that went into effect on Jan. 1, 2016. On Tuesday night, council members briefly discussed changing the ordinance to allow concealed carry before voting.
