Census data shows education, income rates in Cedar Park exceed rates in Leander, statewide

Cedar Park and Leander both continue to add new residents, but Cedar Park boasts a wealthier, more educated population than its northern neighbor, according to 2015 census data published Dec. 8. Cedar Park has added 15,954 residents to its population in the past five years, from an estimated 44,887 residents in 2010 to 60,841 in 2015. Leander added 8,756 residents during the same time period, from an estimated population of 23,295 in 2010 to 32,051 in 2015.
