Cedar Park, Leander encourage residents to prepare for heavy rainfall

With Hurricane Harvey forecasted to hit the Texas coastline tonight and bring heavy rains to Central Texas, the cities of Cedar Park and Leander are aiming to help residents be prepared. The National Weather Service in Austin/San Antonio issued a flash flood watch for portions of Central Texas, including Travis and Williamson Counties, from Friday afternoon through Monday morning. According to the city of Cedar Park, the area could see 10 to 15 inches of rain and wind speeds up to 60 miles per hour.
