Published on December 16, 2016 under CommunityImpact

Job growth is on the rise in Texas, according to the most recent Texas Workforce Commission report. Across the state, an estimated 210,800 seasonally adjusted jobs have been added over the past year, with an addition of 20,900 non-farm jobs added in November. “Texas’ labor force is the backbone of its economy. It is made up of hard-working individuals who are eager to obtain the skills that our employers need,” TWC Commissioner Julian Alvarez said in a statement. The state’s seasonally adjusted unemployment rate decreased by 4.6 percent in November, a slight decrease compared to October.
