Annexations, rezoning and other takeaways from the Leander council meeting this week

Leander City Council members discussed the following items during their meeting Thursday night. Leander City Council decided to cast its one vote for district two candidate Emily Pataki to the Pedernales Electric Cooperative 2017 Board of Directors. According to the meeting agenda packet, Pataki has been on the board since 2014 and currently serves as board president. Her opponent, William Boggs, is a former member of PEC’s board. Council members unanimously approved Journey Bible Fellowship’s request to amend zoning for a daycare, as recommended by the Leander Planning & Zoning Commission members, during their meeting on June 1.
