ACC trustees vote to increase district tax rate

Homeowners will face a higher Austin Community College district property tax bill in fiscal year 2016-17. ACC’s board of trustees decided Tuesday to increase the district tax rate from 10.05 cents per $100 valuation in FY 2015-16 to 10.2 cents per $100 valuation in FY 2016-17. The district’s maintenance and operations tax rate—comprising 9 cents per $100 valuation—is one component of the total tax rate and supports ACC’s $157 million operating budget for FY 2016-17.
